Our employees have nominated The Vale of Evesham School, a specialist school for Cognition and Learning to receive our fundraising and volunteering support this year. So far during 2016 and 2017 we have given over 80 hours working in the school’s sensory garden area laying foundations and painting play-equipment. We have also been lucky enough to secure funding from the IDEX Foundation which will be used to purchase a large hammock and sunken trampoline that facilitates movement, balance and muscle tone. Stephen is passionate about Matcon, our employees and our customers. Since becoming Managing Director he has re-focussed and re-engaged the business which has directly led to Matcon increasing customer satisfaction and our Order Intake.
Stephen took the position of Managing Director in January 2016, having previously been the Finance Director since joining Matcon in 2013.
He has extensive Finance and Management experience having worked for a number of successful organisations ostensibly in the UK Manufacturing sector.
Grant joined the leadership team in January 2019 to ensure that the Operations Team are well positioned to provide exceptional levels of service to our internal and external customers as well as taking responsibility for Operational Strategy to deliver on our commitments, EH&S Compliance, Quality, and OTIF.
After beginning his career as a Civil Engineer and working for several successful organisations within the UK Manufacturing industry, he has gained extensive Operations experience in Lean manufacturing techniques and qualified as a Lean Practitioner in 2015.
Grant’s desire to build meaningful relationships with customers and suppliers led with integrity and trust will be key to building on the foundations of our commitment to customer satisfaction.

The HR department ensures we have the capability to meet business needs through the management of our most valuable resource – our employees.
As a team they handle the usual broad spectrum of HR activities with particular emphasis on Employee Engagement and ensuring that we as a company uphold the values of TRUST, TEAM and EXCELLENCE. By supporting these values our employees are given the opportunity to be and to do their best every day.
Mike has extensive experience gained in both the UK public and private sectors, and has been leading the HR team at Matcon since March 2014.

Pharmaceutical Business Line Director
Richard is responsible for overseeing the continued growth of the Pharmaceutical side of Matcon’s business.
His role encompasses working with our dedicated, regionally based team to further expand our presence within the generic OSD industry in India & Bangladesh, ensuring we deliver on our promise of Customer Excellence. Additionally providing specialist, strategic support to our global Sales teams when needed to maintain our competitive position in the pharmaceutical sector around the world.
A Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering with 20 years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical, oil & gas sectors along with a customer focussed approach allows Richard to help our Customers solve their material handling problems, working alongside them to understand not just the problem but its impact on their process.
Business Optimisation Director
Dave's is focussed on developing process improvements throughout all areas of the business as we continue to grow.
This entails embracing the continuous improvement methodology by holding Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events across all business lines. Dave's main goal is to improve the overall efficiency of Matcon and to ensure we continue to provide the best possible product, quality and value to our customers as we build on our success in the market place in powder handling.
Dave is responsible for leading the New Product Development team, building on his 20 years of experience within the industry to ensure that Matcon continues to provide the right solutions for the powder challenges that clients face today and tomorrow. As the original inventors of Cone Valve technology Matcon are committed to investing in Powder technology development to ensure that innovation remains a core aspect of our business.
Customer Excellence Director
James is responsible for ensuring the customer excellence experience continues once the Matcon equipment is installed and commissioned.
With a global team of Service Account Managers you can be sure of local technical support to look after your production needs, provide guidance, training and advice on how to optimise and maintain your investment. Our centrally based Customer Excellence Team organise our spare part and repeat equipment orders ensuring customer down-time is kept to a minimum.
James has been with Matcon for over 3 years employed in customer-facing roles, delivering technical and systems advice to new customers and existing Matcon systems users.
Strategic Sourcing Manager
Danny is responsible for developing Matcon’s supply portfolio, ensuring transparency of spending by generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies. The focus is on the quality, cost, and delivery of goods and services into Matcon in line with our customer’s expectations.
The Supply and Purchasing teamwork alongside associated departments to manage the purchasing of goods and services in-line with production demands.
Danny has over twenty years’ experience working in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. He has worked within IDEX for three years, previously with Godiva Ltd.
Brian is accountable for the smooth delivery of all our contracts within the business, ensuring we give first class service to our customers.
